Detailed FW Type Horizontal Inverting Centrifuge Description
Working Principle:
The FW Type Horizontal Inverting Centrifuge consists of an extenal shaft
system axially and shaft system moving axially.
The filter liquid is discharged by means of centrifugal force and is
collected and drained off in the collection ring.
The two parts rotate synchronously with a filter element, in most cases
a filter cloth, which is fixed to the external shaft system at one end
and fixed to the internal shaft system at another end. While the machine is
closed and the drum rotating, the drum insert is moved axially by
hydraulic means resulting in the filter cloth being turned inside out. By inverting
the filter cloth completely, and increasing the rotational speed, the
last traces of the product are discharged resulting in a completely
clean filter surface available for the next working operation.
The filter cake is then discharged by centrifugal force.
Applied Scope:
Since there is no mechanical stress e. g. due to scrapping, pressing
etc., this machine is applicable to processes that require the shape
and purity of the crystals to be preseved and occasions of S - L
separation where the solid material possess thixotropy. This machine
can completely take the place of a three - feet centrifugal separator.
