Detailed Analgin Injection Description
Features:
a) 50% solution of sodium phenyldimethy1 pyrazolon
methylaminomethan sulfone, in ampoules of 1ml, 2ml and 5 ml
b) Synonym: analgin is an antipyrine derivative with some of its
therapeutic actions, with
analgesic, superior to antipyrine and amidopyrine, antirheumatic, antiphlogistic and antineuralgic effect
c) For relieving pain quickly especially when administered
intravenously, it is well tolerated even in grave conditions of
exhaustion and organic heart diseases
d) Indications: used to relieve eadache, lumbago, toothache,
sciatica neuralgia, gallbladder and renal colic (),
postoperative pains; used as an antirheumatic drug in acute and
chronic articular and muscular rheumatism
e) Dosage:
1) To relieve pain: tablet or 20 drops orally each time, 3 to 4 times
a day
2) In severe pain, 1 - 2ml of 50% solution by intramuscularly or
intravenous injections 1 -2 times a day,
3) In exceedingly sharp pains: the dose may be increased to 5ml
of 50% solution administered intravenously
4) Children:
9) 2 - 3 years old: 0.05 - 0.10g, 2 - 3 times a day
) 3 - 5 years old: 0.10 - 0.20g, 2 - 3 times a day, highest single
time dosage: 1g; highest daily dosage: 3g
f) Packing:
1) 1ml: 6, 50, 10, 100ampoules / box
2) 2ml: 6, 50, 10, 100ampoules / box
3) 5ml: 6, 50, 10, 100ampoules / box
g) Storage: stored in cool and dark place
