Detailed Pigment Description
Dyestuffs: disperse dyes, direct dyes, acid dyes, basic dyes,
sulphur dyes, cationic dyes, vat dyes, reactive dyes, azoic dyes, solvent dyes, food dyes
Features:
a) Reactive dyestuffs can be used to dye many kinds of fibers, but also dye the synthetic
fibers such as wool, not only dye
and print cellulosic fibers such as cotton, silk and nylon, and polyester and cotton blends. It
also can be applied in dyeing ink, paper and soap.
There are X type, K type, KN type and Km type according to different
uses.
b) Acid dyestuffs are mainly used to dye wool, silk, nylon and leather.
c) Basic dyestuffs can be used for dyeing silk, wool and cotton fibers. Some
can be used as materials for making pigments.
Some of them can be used for paper making, leather industries.
d) Direct dyestuffs are mainly applied in dyeing and printing cotton, cotton yarns and silk,
knitwear, also dyeing papers and leathers.
e) Cationic dyestuffs, we have X type, M type and disperse type according
to different uses. According to the temperature in dyeing process, we have E type,
SE or M type and H or S type. They are mainly used for dyeing polyester fibers.
f) Disperse dyestuffs can be widely used for dyeing and printing polyester
fibers.
g) Sulphur dyestuffs are mainly used to dye cotton cloth conveniently, and
now we develop soluble sulphur dyestuffs which are used more widely.
h) Vat dyes are mainly used to dye and print cotton, polyester and fibers
of hemp, not soluble in water. Now we have developed solubilized vat
dyes which can be soluble in water and for cotton, leather, painting
and printing paste industries.
i) Organic pigments are generally powder insoluble in water, plastics, widely used
in printing ink, leather, painting and printing paste
industries.
j) Inorganic pigments generally appeared in powder and used in plastics,
construction materials industries
k) Fluo - whitenning agents: liquid or powder form,
paper to whiten fibers, mainly used in textile, paper.
